My Hamsters – In Memory of Roxxi Hamster

The other night my dog killed one of my hamsters, her name was Roxxi. She was a cool little hammy, she just had babies. 15 were born, however only 5 survived, but they’ll be ok. They can all eat and drink on their own now, but it’s sad that she got out of her cage and got attacked. I was sad, she was an exact replica of her great grandmother Roxi.

I know what most people think, it’s just a hamster, and get over it. No my hamsters are family, I’ve watched each one grow from the time they were born until they pass of old age. The first hamsters were purchased, but that was years ago, and those two have long since passed on. Today their grand, great and great great descendants are all that live. To me they are like my children. Out of the five that survived I’m giving one to my brother Alex. I usually don’t give them out since I don’t trust people with them.
