iPhone 3.0 OS, TweetDeck
Thursday, June 18, 2009 at 4:14PM I installed the 3.0 software on my iPod Touch yesterday, I also downloaded the TweetDeck App. I had a connection problem with YouTube after the update, as did many others. It was corrected only when re-syncing with iTunes.
There’s a lot of new functionality in this new software update. Cut, Copy, and Paste, the ability to sign into your YouTube account which I don’t know why that wasn’t done in the first place. Spotlight which I’m finding to be quite useful, no more going from screen to screen in search for what I’m looking for, and let’s not forget landscape mode for Email, and Notes. I do not own an iPhone so I know there’s a lot more that I haven’t experienced yet. I know I haven’t covered everything.
The TweetDeck app is very similar to it’s desktop counterpart. When you first start it up it’s divided into 3 columns; All Friends, which is of course all the people you follow, Mentions, which is basically @replies, and anytime you’re mentioned on Twitter. Last but not least DM’s, which are Direct Messages. The app itself is easy to figure out, it’s only crashed once on me, and that was caught on video.
What do you think of the new iPhone 3.0 Software? Have you had a chance to play with the new TweetDeck App, if so how do you like it?
