Backing up your computers is serious business

Never in my life has backing up my files been such a serious and real matter. Just a few weeks ago my laptops hard drive died, I knew it was close, but I thought I had just a little more time. I had moved 83GB’s worth of files over from my external hard drive so that I could make room to move my iTunes folder over. However when I finally went to restore the folder from the laptop the hard drive started having read and write errors and making sounds.

To make a long story short, you should backup regularly to ensure safety of all your data. The data I have now on my default computer is stuff I’ve been accumulating since 2005, what I lost on my laptop can be re-downloaded with patience, but it could have been prevented.
